This policy refers to ‘we’, ‘our’, or, ‘us’ to denote Saferpak Limited, trading as International Food Safety & Quality Network (IFSQN). Address information for our offices is available on the Contact us page of the website and at the footer of this policy.

IFSQN is an online food safety networking website which stores information about a company or individual as provided or entered by that company or individual.

When you supply any personal information to us (e.g. register for an account or request for information) we have legal obligations towards you in the way we use that data. We must collect the information fairly, that is, we must explain how we will use it and will tell you if we want to pass the information on to anyone else

Under EU data protection law (including the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (henceforth, GDPR), we are a ‘data controller’ of your personal information.

To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. A – Where it is necessary for purposes which are in our, or third parties’, legitimate interest. These include:
  • Processing and communicating with you on sales orders such as billing and to fulfil customer's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user
  • Maintaining and operating our website
  • Providing you with the services described on our sites
  • Verifying your identity when you sign in to our website
  • Conducting analysis of the site to ascertain how the site, content, and services of the site can be improved
  • Communicating with you by responding to comments, queries or other methods where a clear communication channel is being opened

Where/ When we disclose your personal information

When legitimate need arises we may share your personal information with the following:
  • Service providers who assist us with the ways we use personal information (as detailed above). In particular, these include: website hosting providers which are located in the US and website analytics services which are located in the US.
  • Our professional counsel and advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, which are located in the UK.
Where/When we transfer and/or store your personal information

Your data will be processed within the US and UK. This is done on the basis that your consent to this policy acknowledges that we take care to work with service providers who we believe maintain the required standard of GDPR and general data security compliance.

How your information is secured

We take every precaution to protect our users information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

All pages in our online store are secured by SSL operated by COMODO which assures sensitive information is encrypted and remains private.

We use a credit card processing company Stripe.com and Paypal.com to bill users for products and services. These companies operate secure payment processing and they do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
When you choose to pay for the products or services by credit card, your credit card details are not stored by us and cannot be accessed by our staff. If you choose to save you credit card details for future purchases your credit card details are encrypted and securely stored by Stripe.com or Paypal.com.

Your personal member account information is maintained and stored on secure servers managed by our professional web hosting providers.

How you can access your personal information

You have the right to make a request to us at any stage to access personal information we hold about you and to request corrections of any errors in that data. You may request that your information be deleted and ensure you will not be further contacted from the company unless you specify as and when, and sign up to receive our communications and materials again in line with GDPR compliance.

Website posts and discussion topics

A major part of our website is our public discussion forums. In order to make a post on the forums visitors must register for a member account. We encourage members to choose a non-personally identifiable display username and to not include personally identifiable information such as full name, company name, email address, postal address etc. in forum posts. The forums are moderated and we remove personally identifiable information wherever possible. On request we will change members display username and edit posts to remove personally identifiable information.

Marketing uses of your data

Where we have your consent to do so (such as subscribing to our email lists or stating an interest in receiving offers and information from us), we will send you marketing communications by email about content, resources, product or services that we feel may be of interest to You. You have the right to opt out of these communications at any stage if you would not like to receive them. This can be done by using the ‘unsubscribe’ feature in the email communication.

Alternatively users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to unsubscribe in the subject line in the email, or by contacting us directly.
You also have the choice about cookies, as described below in the next section. You can modify your browser preferences which will allow you the choice to accept all cookies, be notified when cookies are set up (installed), or to reject all cookies.

Use of Cookies

The provider Facebook Inc, located at 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA uses cookies to show you interest-based advertising. If you want to prevent Facebook from storing anonymous data, please change this by clicking the link below. The opt-out cookie deletes all information collected so far and prevents you from collecting information in the future.

Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
