Consumer safety first and foremost

I have just joined the 'network' because as Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for an Australian Complementary Medicines manufacturer, I am keen to ensure that I keep abreast of all current and anticipated issues in the sphere of food safety and quality, particularly around allergic reactions to ingested substances.    

 

In an era where information is 'king' so to speak, I believe that it is vitally important to ensure that consumer safety is never compromised through poor product labeling.

Yes you are correct, the focus of all quality systems and the regulatory bodies such as TGA is just that i.e to protect the health and well being of consumers at all cost.

 

The advances in manufacturing and analytical techniques, quality systems and regulations are all working well to achieve this very goal.
