Can different documents have different revision numbers?
Hello,
As part of document control, is it possible that within the same FSMS manual there can be some SOPs with a old revision status than others. For instance, due to some changes in some SOPs eg. the HACCP manual, these SOPs have a revision status of version 005 but all other SOPs were not revised so will still remain as revision status 004.
Yes!
What I have done in the past, when annual review is done, and no changes needed, was to initial and date the bottom of said document as proof of review

It's not just "possible", It's often "inevitable".
Yes! We keep a list of all SOP's with revision numbers and effective dates (like a table of content) that way when we do a review it shows which revision was reviewed.
And we do revise SOPs quite often.
Also, with some of our manuals (We supply ingredients to may different industries: veterinary, food and supplements and to global industries, some of our customers require specific documentation/manuals) we will write the manual using the SOP name and number, but with the statement of Current Revision of. That way we do not have to re-do the manual every time we make a change in our SOP. (Of course we make sure in the SOP revision review process that the change does not effect the manuals purpose).
Yes, a revision is only issued if there IS a change so that's the only time your Rev. number changes.
