Hello all! I am looking for a way of documenting Label Compliance for my facility but am having difficult creating a form pertained to our companies manufacturing processes. 1. We have 4 departments of manufacturing  APV - candy bar making Enrobing - enrober for creating sponge candy, coating candy pieces, etc Hand Dipping: Hand dipped peanuts, tree nuts, etc. Molding- molded chocolate items. I want to create a Quality Document for inspecting the finished products or in process. I was looking to check these departments on a daily basis, and checked at least hourly. Would anyone have a form that i could adjust to fit our company?

How are the label's applied. Are they on the container or are they put on during the process. We do both.

For the containers with the labels on them - we added a line to our original paperwork. QC signs off that along with temperatures, etc - they checked the label.

For items that the label is added to the item - we collect each label. They then on go on a label verification form with QC signing off on them.

At least yearly - the R & D Department makes sure all labels are correct. They also are the only ones who can change things (beside lot code).

For our candy bars, the date code is printed on the back after the candy bar is wrapped on an automatic machine/feeder. For other departments, we have pre-approved labels that go over our products, my job is to check to see that they are using the right label, along with the proper date code of the date produced.
