Disposal and destruction of foodstuffs - procedure

I am just looking for some help with the content for a disposal / destruction of foodstuffs procedure.

Has anyone an example of this.

The regulations differ from country to country and even state to state - ours has to be composted. Check with your local solid waste authority and see what the local regulations are.

Agree, always contact local authority. With regard to regulatory compliance, in the US FSIS requires denaturing of products. The biggest piece of any procedure like this is going to focus on keeping your waste stream separate from your product or rework stream.

Hi,

In Ireland all food waste must be recycled, compost SI508-2009. Non animal origin food waste  can be recycled to animal feed but you and the receiver must be licensed by the Dept. of Agriculture.

One advice to add is to build your procedure in such a way, that the disposal / destruction of foodstuffs will not be a source of pests in your company.
