Can anyone help me by providing the difference between Flavours and Fragrance & their application. Also it would be appreciable if I get regulations /standards for the same.
Thanks well in advance..

Not from a regulatory standpoint but flavours would suggest something changing the taste of a substance, mostly from interactions with sensors on the tongue. A fragrance would suggest changing the smell.  There is a grey area because a lot of flavour comes from volatile chemicals which evaporate in the back of your mouth stimulating the olfactory sensors even though you're eating, not smelling it at the time.

Perhaps with a bit more information, someone with legal knowledge would be able to tell you more?

Can't help so much with an answer specific to Oman, but for EU purposes a flavour would be a product that falls within the scope of Regulation (EC) 1334/2008 (link here if curious): https://eur-lex.euro...08R1334&from=EN

This does acknowledge that the function of a flavour is both taste and aroma, and it is specifically the application to food that makes it a "flavour" rather than a fragrance. For some products (e.g. certain fruit juices) it is possible to strip almost all of the volatile aromatic components out, and tasting such a product really does emphasise quite how significant the olfactory component is in what we perceive as "taste" (which is really a composite that our brain stitches together using sensory data from several areas, including but definitely not limited to the tongue).
