Speaker Bio:
Amanda Evans-Lara is an experienced food safety specialist, consultant, and educator with a passion for helping businesses achieve compliance with food safety standards and regulations. With over 30 years of experience in the food industry, Amanda has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the areas of HACCP, food safety management systems, GFSI-recognised standards, and regulatory compliance.

With a deep-rooted passion for technology, Amanda has a keen interest in leveraging the power of artificial intelligence to streamline work practices and has a true belief in the transformative potential of AI in enhancing efficiency and productivity in the workplace.

Amanda’s commitment to integrating tech solutions into everyday tasks is a testament to her forward-thinking approach and dedication to innovation. Amanda began her food safety career as a government food inspector in Australia, later earning post-graduate qualifications in Environmental Health. She worked as a food safety auditor and trainer, aiding businesses in achieving industry compliance.

In 2000, she founded HACCP Mentor to provide practical food safety solutions. She has since worked with clients across industries, helping implement HACCP plans, system improvement and adhere to regulations.

Amanda is an approved BRCGS consultant and training provider. She has developed online course content for BRCGS Global Food Standard (Issue 9), Auditor Fundamentals, Gluten-Free certification, Plant-based auditor and sites, and Module 13 - Meeting U.S. FSMA Requirements. She is also a lead instructor for the US-FDA's Intentional Adulteration Rule, Human Food Rule, and Foreign Supplier Verification Program Rule.
