Hi All,

I am filling up the Company Profile form for our next BRC Audit booking. I have came across a question
Number of
HACCP Studies included within the scope?’

I think it effects the number of hours that auditor would spend during audit.

We are bakery and have only one HACCP plan for all products we manufacture. Does it mean we have only one HACCP Study?

Please share your expertise and thoughts.

Regards

Yes, you have one HACCP study/plan and yes it can impact the hours for the audit. The more you have, the more time.

Yes you only have 1 HACCP plan. The question is designed I think to help the auditor decide how long they need to spend on site.

Hi Martinblue,

Yes, you have only one HACCP study. tsmith7858 and GMO are right. If you have a high number of HACCP plans, it is expected to be more tedious, it is also expected to have an increase in number of man-days, specifically on stage 2 audit. Since you only have 1 HACCP plan, they (CB) can reduce the number of man-days, it is expected the work is few, and therefore, the cost.

Hi Martin Blue,
Yes no of HACCP studies affect the the audit time.
Generally certification bodies add half man-day for each additional HACCP study.
One HACCP plan is one HACCP study.
The auditor during audit would also be verifying the information you have filled in.

Thanks

Gourav

Hello,

Does the number of haccp plan refer to the type of products?

for example if it the plant processes only chicken, then it is 1 haccp plan, however if there is a canning section also, then it is 2 haccp plans?

thank you

Yes if there is separate HACCP plan

I'm entitled to my opinion, even a stopped clock is right twice a day
