Hello.... I need some help. As a requirement for SQF, I need to train my internal auditors to conduct the program in our facility. Any idea what should I include in this training, any material to share?

Hello,

I conduct Internal Auditor training often. There are a few simple elements to include, I can not share my material as this is what I do for a living (you can contact me to set-up a class). Make sure that the training includes the following at a minimum:

• Reasons for auditing
• Define Objective Evidence Vs. Subjective Evidence
• Systems Audits vs. Process Audits
• Development of Checklists; use the SQF Code as a guide.
• Report writing techniques
• methods used to share reports/findings
• defining conformance and non-conformance criteria
• Audit scheduling
• Corrective Action
• Verification
• Roles & Responsibilities

A great internal auditing program will pay for itself and it is a great method for verification and validation.
