I am new to the group. I found your website as I was researching food standards.
I have experience in writing ISO 9001 standards but now I need to write FSSC 22000 and I am little scarred. LOL
If anyone has advice for me, or can recommend good reading I will appreciate that.

The first obvious suggestion is to acquire/scan a copy of the relevant standards, eg ISO22000, ISO 22004, PAS220 assuming not yet done so.
As you are already aware, FSSC22000 =
Food Safety system + Management System,
FSMS.
IMEX, the ISO9001 part will take care of a lot of the generic fundamentals of the management system aspect.
You didn't mention yr background so I presume it is in food business (somewhere). Or auditing, or ?
So what is yr technical background with respect to food safety ?. Probably the most important initial question is whether you are familiar / experienced in
HACCP ?. This will rather orientate the follow-up to yr original question.
