THE PREVENTIVE MEASURES IN ISO 22000 ARE PRPS(ORIZONTAL) OPRPS(VERTICAL,OR OPERETIVE) AND THE CONTROL OF CCP,OK

NOW PERIODICALY WE MUST VALIDATE THE PREVENTIVE MEASURES

I ASK IF IS THE TERM VALIDATION IS APPLICABLE FOR ALL THE MEASURES (PRPS-OPRP-CCP)

AND IF VALIDATION IS IN RELATION TO HAZARD ONLY, OR ALSO TO THE RISK

Based on my limited knowledge of ISO 22000, validation must be conducted for all measures (PRPs as well as CCPs). I do not understand the difference between 'potential' hazard and risk. Aren't they basically the same?

Thank you.

Dear italianbruschi,

PRPs - Validation is not required. Verification is required.

Validation (def 3.15) refers to the control measures related to oprps / ccps. The appropriate control measures will presumably require consideration of factors such as the (significant) hazard / it's risk.
