Hi Everyone,

hoping you can help! this section states that food for animal feed must be managed in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.

what are these requirements?

we are a confectionery business and we provide food waste for animal feed.

can anyone advise how we comply?

thanks

Kirsty

Well you need to be registered with DEFRA, as does the person who is taking away your waste

The legislative requirement is Animal by-Products (Enforcement) (England) Regulations 2011

I am the Food Safety and Quality manager for a bakery in the US.  We also send all of our food waste to a company that makes animal feed, but this is the first time I have heard of any type of registration requirement.  Is this required in the US?
