First post here, has anyone ever got questioned by an auditor regarding cocamide MEA or cocamidopropyl betaine in handsoap since these compound are derived from coconut?

Hi Glenn,
Thank you for the reply. I see this ingredients almost everywhere in hand soap product, and it is difficult to find a replacement considering all the complaint from the employee regarding dry hand and irritated skin.

Thanks for the thread question. I didn't realize Cocamidopropyl Betaine was derived from coconuts. For employees with dry skin and irritated skin, I usually recommend at the end of their shift to grab some cortisone cream from our first aid kit. From my experience this works a lot better than lotion. We buy the more expensive disposable gloves as well to help, but for our employees with sensitive skin, it doesn't completely help.
