Hi Everyone,

Does anyone much about the Feed Assure certification and does it meet the BRC certification standards?

Thanks,

Julie

Morning Julie,

I was a bit confused about the second part of question.

I am not familiar with Feed Assure, we use Safe Feed Safe Food (SFSF) here at our facility.

What BRC certification standard were you trying to meet?

@TimG

I am wondering if SFSF is on par with the same standards as BRC requirements?

BRC doesn't have a standard for animal feed at present, so it's somewhat dependent on your own interpretation of "on par".

Comparison of schemes is undertaken independently by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI), and you can see which schemes have been benchmarked as equivalent on their website - for example, towards the bottom of this page:

https://mygfsi.com/h...nt/recognition/

You can filter down to specific scope areas, so for example selecting category F (Production of feed) they're currently showing FSSC22000 and SQF.

As pH mentioned, you're probably looking for something in the GFSI realm if you are looking to be on par with BRC.

SFSF offers 2 different levels that I'm aware of.

FSC36 which is a NON-GFSI GMP audit, you can find that info at http://safefeedsafef...g/main/home.cfm

FSC34 which is a GFSI standard through SQFI (module 2 and 3 would be what would be audited against), you can find that info at https://www.sqfi.com...code-downloads/
