Hello everyone,

I have been been hanging around and researching food safety related items here for a while now, thought I might as well introduce myself. I am the Q.A. Supervisor responsible for food safety for a large farm which also has a packing facility for dry bulb onions. Prior to this I worked in the local state department of agriculture inspecting fresh fruits and vegetables also doing G.A.P and G.M.P audits on farms and packinghouses. Currently we are using PrimusGFS for our packing facility and GlobalGAP for our farm for audits. If there is one thing I have learned it is how fast things change when it comes to food safety, it is forever evolving. The revisions to the audit schemes don't stay the same for very long. I enjoy the wealth of knowledge this community brings.....Thanks

What a fantastic introduction! It sounds like you bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, especially with your background in both regulatory inspections and on-the-ground food safety management. Your role as a QA Supervisor for a large farm and packing facility must keep you on your toes, especially with the ever-evolving nature of food safety standards like PrimusGFS and GlobalGAP.

It's great to hear that you're finding value in the community's shared knowledge—collaboration is key in such a dynamic field. Welcome aboard, and I’m sure your insights will be a valuable addition here! Let me know if you’d like help drafting posts or sharing specific questions or tips with the community.
