Hello all,

Can anyone help with US Labelling regulations for PDP please.

We are doing a new label for a US customer.

It is a large wrap around label (top - side- bottom).

The label is 4" x 14"

The top of the label amounts to 6"

The side will be 3"

THe bottom will be 5"

The container it is being applied to is clear and square.

The label will be centered on the top and go down the the midddle of the container and end at the center of the bottom.

Questions:

1) What is considered the PDP (Principal Display Panel)?

2) What is considered information panel? (There is technically nothing to the immediate right of the PDP as it will be clear container)

3) Can we put ingredient declaration and NFT panel on the bottom portion of the label?

Any help or light you could shine on this mater for me would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Is this a product for that falls under FDA or USDA as I believe they have slightly different regulations to follow?  I'd suggest reaching out to a label courier for assistance when it comes to labeling regulations as they can be an invaluable resource.

Hi, Scotty_SQF
The PDP is the surface that will be the one most likely to be displayed facing the consumer on the shelf. It is acceptable to put all required information on the PDP, but make sure you take into account the font size requirements and that the nutrition facts, ingredients, and Packed by/packed for statement are placed together without intervening material. You could also place those last 3 elements on the back of your package if the side to the immediate right of your PDP is clear (no printing of any kind).
