Good afternoon,

I am looking for  an example of contractual agreement with third party storage and distribution facility that will comply with the SQF 2.3.3.3 requirement :

"Contractual agreements with third party storage and distribution businesses shall
include requirements relating to customer product requirements and compliance
with clause 2.3.3.2 of the SQF Food Safety Code: Food Manufacturing. Contractual
agreements shall be approved by both parties and communicated to relevant
personnel. The site shall verify compliance with the SQF Code and ensure that
customer and regulatory requirements are being met at all times."

Thanks in advance

We had our procurement department draw up a contract and maintain them.  I worked with them added to it storage requirements, that they will follow guidelines in terms of CFR code (whichever applies), that they would alert us directly of any non-conformances and that they would be audited by us on an annual basis to ensure they followed our expectations in terms of food safety and would be provided guidelines from us on this.  Procurement handled adding in there other items that were product specific that were not related to food safety.  It was a tag team effort.  Hope this helps.
