Not unless it's required for "compliance with any specific legal requirements". (Clause 3.5.3.1)
As with any service you may contract, it's certainly a good idea to make sure that if they screw something up they can be held liable and be able to compensate you for damages.

Asking for insurance from suppliers of services is requirement for BRC?
