Just started a new job.  The main office and 1 processing plant is in BC Canada.  They are opening a plant in WA - hoping to begin production in March.
I'm in the process of tweaking our existing SOPs and other forms to fit our new US plant.

Some of the forms reference CFIA, I can't seem to find that the US equivalent would be. What would it be?

I'm coming from a background of Seafood plants that are SQF certified.
This plant makes meat alternative foods and is BRC certified.

USDA if it's meat.  The United States Department of Agriculture.

It's plant-based meat alternative.  Would that still be USDA?

I've worked with USDC quite a bit but haven't done much with USDC.

alternative would be FDA.

Have a client that just started plant based (pea protein) division and it falls under FDA and not USDA.

Oops.  My reading comprehension was a little off.

FDA.gov for most not meats.

FDA covers plant based foods at the consumer/retail level.
