Colombia is a exporter of fresh tropical fruits ( passionfruit and granadilla ).
Regulation (EU) 2019/1793 establishes an intensified border control system.
This European Regulation is updated every six months.
Its latest amendment, dated December 2024 (Regulation (EU) 2024/3153), is currently force.
Its update was recently voted in favor of by the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed (SCPAFF).

Annex I of the Regulation includes Colombian passionfruit and granadilla for the determination of pesticide residues.
The draft submitted for vote includes a increase in the sampling frequency from the current 10% to 20%, which will be applied when the amendment enters into force.

El Reglamento (UE) 2019/1793 establece un sistema intensificado de control fronterizo.
Este Reglamento europeo se actualiza cada seis meses.
Su última modificación, de diciembre de 2024 (Reglamento (UE) 2024/3153), está actualmente en vigor.
Su actualización fue votada recientemente a favor por el Comité Permanente de Vegetales, Animales, Alimentos y Piensos (SCPAFF).

El Anexo I del Reglamento incluye el maracuyá y la granadilla colombianos para la determinación de residuos de plaguicidas.
El borrador presentado para votación incluye un aumento de la frecuencia de muestreo del 10 % actual al 20 %, que se aplicará cuando la modificación entre en vigor.
