Hi, wondering if anyone has experience with automating taste panels. I'm looking into a e-nose but the cost is £130,000 which I would never be able to justify. Main taste complaints are sweetness related so not sure where to begin with a sucralose testing machine? The products are flavoured powders.

We would probably need a bit more information on what the product is. The flavored powder, does it go into a drink or is it consumed in power form? I'm sure there are sugar test strips if the concern is the product is too sugary. Are there ingredients that can be detected in the final product? For me, we use strips here and there to test for sulfites in shrimp products -- while this is more of an allergen/sensitivity concern, something similar may work for your situation.

You might want to check with the Society of Flavor Chemists (USA).  https://flavorchemists.com/  We typically have used GCMS as a tool to break down flavor components.  Sweetness is not necessarily sugar-related.  I've been off the bench for some time and don't know what new technology there may be that would work for you.  There is also a British equivalent to the SFC, the British Society of Flavourists https://www.bsf.org.uk/  if that's appropriate to your location.
