Good evening,

I am currently working on a new project and would appreciate any input or advice.

I work for a frozen food manufacturer, and we are looking into selling a range of frozen and ambient products online.

Consumers will be able to purchase products from our website, which will be order-picked and compiled by a third-party cold storage operation. The products will be packed into corrugated cases, lined with ice packs, with an insert on top of the ice packs, and ambient sauces packed into the same box.

The products will then be dispatched for overnight delivery to the consumer the next day.

I want to validate this process through temperature monitoring trials to simulate the process and record the temperature data throughout, ensuring the product remains at a safe temperature.

Does anyone have experience with this type of process? What kind of loggers or trackers could be used?

I would appreciate any input or recommendations on how to put this study together.

Many thanks,
Martyn

Hi Martyn,

You will need temperature data loggers for this project, I have previously used Comark's loggers for monitoring deliveries:

https://www.comarkin...s/data-loggers/

I would do some trials in house mimicking deliveries and also a few test deliveries.

Also make sure you cross check the loggers against a NPL calibrated thermometer.

Kind regards,

Tony
