Hi all,

we are going to buy a continuous pasteurizer that works with boiling water bath as a heating medium and chilled water bath as a cooling medium. My question is, Is there a guideline for the frequency of changing and replacing water? like, how often do we need to replace these waters? is anyone working with such system?

Thank you all in advance.

Hi Scampi,

we produce imitation crab and we vacuum pack in PE film. yes, it's deep and the packs will float in the water.

Hi Shookimogh,

The presence of contaminants and scales can impact efficiency and may require more regular replacements.

As a guideline, some facilities may replace chilled water weekly, while boiling water may only need replacement every few weeks, depending on usage and water quality.

It would be beneficial to consult with the equipment manufacturer or speak with other facilities using similar systems for best practices tailored to your specific context.
