Is there any information on what is considered a 'waste trap' to meet this section of code? We have some sump pumps, and some screen/retaining areas which grab stuff right before it gets to the sump. Currently our document states 'we have no waste traps in facility,' but this was challenged by the FS individual performing the section review on 11.1 and he wrote us up for a NC (which is good, I want us to catch stuff and fix it before an auditor does).

Where does the "stuff" go after it is grabbed?

Assuming a holding pit/containment, area, etc - that is the waste trap.

I've worked at places that had what we called a "pit."  This is where things would get drained to to either settle out for the sludge to get pumped out on a regular basis (kind of like a septic tank).  They would typically be underground, and toward an outer wall so a pump truck can hook up to it and suck it all out.
