Hi All 

 

Does anyone have any recommendations to who we should sign up to for legislation and industry updates?

Obviously theres the FSA and Campden but who else is there and to include food fraud etc

Good morning, which country? FDA and USDA both have alerts you can sign up for and check which types you would like to receive.

It's worth looking internationally anyway. Especially for fraud.

You can obviously pay for access to others. 

 

Then there's the food crime unit. Personally I'm unconvinced of their competence so far. The odd report of action has come through but I am wary of their reluctance to employ ex food people and rely on ex police. Yes it's crime but I think you'd get more out of someone who understands food working with police if that makes sense? Anyway they've been offering lots of support recently but I suspect it's to get intelligence. They're looking to support people with free consultancy calls. Call me suspicious... But if you have nothing to hide, and we shouldn't, I suppose, where is the harm? Food crime | Food Standards Agency
