Hello
can someone tell me what the guidelines are for the level (lux) of lighting for production areas, storage areas, freezer, chillers and office areas are? :uhm:

Did you find what you were looking for Sue. I did a quick search for "Lux" on the Codex Alimentarius website: http://www.codexalim...rch/advanced.do

It throws up several documents / standards for various food processes. On first glance there appears to be different requirements for 'lux' depending on the food process and activities within (inspection, work rooms, other areas).

What is your process and is it covered on there?

we will be manufacturing cooked meats and ready meals, no specific info on codex site..will carry on searching! thanx
