ProPak Asia 2005

22-25 June 2005, BITEC THAILAND

The 13th International Processing & Packaging Technology Exhibition and Conference for the Asian Region.

Since the launch of the first ProPak Asia show in Singapore in 1984 the show has developed into becoming one of the most effective vehicles for buyers and sellers to meet in one location. The steady growth of the event since its move to Bangkok and its resurgence following the Asian crisis of the late 1990’s provides a platform for future development.

Successful Business development increasingly depends upon concentrations of know-how in key markets. In the context of South East Asia the development of a regional hub for the processing and packaging industries has been evolving over many years.

The launch of the ASEAN Free Trade Area has accelerated the positioning of Thailand as the natural centre of a market of 515 million people and a combined national income of $US 580 billion.

With the strong likelihood of AFTA also encompassing China before 2010 Thailand’s regional position can be expected to be further enhanced.
