This live-seminar, presented by Dr. Monika Tönnießen, will give you an overview about the main aspects of mineral oil hydrocarbons and their relation to food packaging adhesives. That includes the following aspects:
  • Mineral oils and their relation to laws
    Which roles do mineral oils play in German and European regulations?
  • Mineral oil hydrocarbons and food contamination
    What is the danger of mineral oils getting into contact with food?
  • Sources of contamination
    How can the migration of mineral oil hydrocarbons be prevented?
The webinar will be held on Friday, December 5, 10:00 AM CEST and is divided into the following sections:
  • 30 min. presentation
  • 15 min. Q&A session
Dr. Monika Tönnießen is a chemist in the Product Safety department of the Henkel Adhesive Technologies business unit.
She is an expert in all aspects of material contact with foodstuffs and is a member of the Paper and Packaging Working
Group of the Association of European Adhesives and Sealants Manufacturers (FEICA).
