A couple of years ago the EU FVO mandates inspections of the UK dairy industry. This was, in part, to a ban on the sale of cheese in the EU from Bowland Dairy in Lancashire.

Does anyone know the outcome from these dairy audits?

I would like to know what changes have been made in response to these audits if this information is available.

Thanks,

Tim

The European Vets visited a number of dairies and milk brokage sites in order to gauge how deep the problem was.

They spent two days in the UK visiting the manufacturing sites of the biggest producers within the UK. These visit were "spot checks".

The intentionis that they will be revisiting this year to ensure that the recommendations that they made were followed.

Dairies had to be more savvy about how they hanfled waste produce, and had to abide by the Animal By Producr legislation, etc. which i posted the other day. i can't send you the document in full as it contains commercially sensitive material.

the Vets didn't find anything that unduly concerned them.
