Dear All,

Couldn't see the relevant thread and too lazy to search.

Happy Birthday to Brian Fowler who Simon undoubtedly knows much better than me.
The oldest member I guess. last post was apparently 2006 so I hope he still looks in. i looked up the website mentioned in his biodata and extracted -

ISO.22000 or BRC?
Although both ISO.22000 and BRC Global Standards are designed to be audited by accredited Third Party Certification Bodies, the BRC standards have been specifically developed to address the "due diligence" laws in the United Kingdom. For this reason they have been divided into several different sectors and are highly prescriptive in their requirements. It therefore seems unlikely that ISO.22000, with its generic format, will replace BRC in this particular market.
However, retailers outside the United Kingdom will probably be keen to adopt a common standard which can be applied through all levels of their supply chain, supplementing or replacing ISO 9001 which has otherwise been the only practical alternative.

Looks pretty accurate at the moment.

Kind Regards / Charles.C

Yes it does, then Brian was and is a wise old sage (with a small o). I still do see Brian from time to time and he still is very active on BRC packaging and of course very kowledgeable. Don't think he stops by, but happy birthday Brian.

Regards,
Simon

Well Thanks guys I had a nice day on Sunday, it actually was a beautiful sunny day, which made it all the more nice. My family came over and we went out for something to eat and then went back home and watched some funny videos from when the kids were smaller.

I was born in 1966 the year England last won the football World Cup (against Germany 4-2 in extra time . They think it’s all over…it is now). 1966 was also a vintage year with the birth of Eric Cantona (God). No disrespect big man. And on my birthday number on in the UK pop charts (when they meant something) was The Walker Brothers - "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore". Kind of ironic don’t you think.

Cheers,
Simon
