Dear Members,

FYI, a link to download the PRP 22000. http://www.synergy-g...tions/Page1.php

Same spirit as for PAS 220 or FSSC 22000. However, I found it a bit more complete.

Have a nice reading

Best regards,

Dear Colbert,

Interesting link / document. Thks. I suppose something like this document was almost inevitable. At least one of the initial "expert" names looks familiar from iso 22000 times.

My first reaction was that the material looks mostly borrowed from elsewhere (BRC? :rolleyes: ). Can't compare with PAS 220, etc because I am not that rich.

Well, it seems we will have plenty of options of PRP´s to add to ISO 22000.

http://www.iso.org/i...?csnumber=44001

Which one will you want?

PAS 220 (production), PRP 22000 or ISO/NP TS 22002-1?

22002-1 is just in 10.99 stage (New project approved).

Regards,

FSSM

Thanks Colbert for the link Posted Image

Charles, I wouldn't claim to be rich but I somewhat foolishly (in retrospect) purchased PAS 220. Here is a summary of the contents of the two:

Synergy PRP 22000:2009 (E) specifies detailed PRP requirements to be considered in relation to 7.2.3 of ISO 22000:2005, specifically:
a) construction and layout of buildings and associated utilities;
b) layout of premises, including workspace and employee facilities;
c) supplies of air, water, energy and other utilities;
d) supporting services, including waste and sewage disposal;
e) suitability of equipment and its accessibility for cleaning, maintenance and preventive maintenance;
f) management of purchased materials;
g) measures for the prevention of cross contamination;
h) cleaning and sanitizing;
i) pest control;
j) personnel hygiene,
k) control of operations
In addition, this standard addresses other aspects which are considered relevant to food chain operations such as strategic food protection.

PAS 220:2008 specifies detailed requirements to be considered in relation to 7.2.3 of BS EN ISO 22000:2005, specifically:
a) construction and layout of buildings and associated utilities;
b) layout of premises, including workspace and employee facilities;
c) supplies of air, water, energy and other utilities;
d) supporting services, including waste and sewage disposal;
e) suitability of equipment and its accessibility for cleaning, maintenance and preventive maintenance;
f) management of purchased materials;
g) measures for the prevention of cross contamination;
h) cleaning and sanitizing;
i) pest control;
j) personnel hygiene.
In addition, this PAS adds other aspects which are considered relevant to manufacturing operations:
i) rework;
ii) product recall procedures;
iii) warehousing;
iv) product information and consumer awareness;
v) food defence, biovigilance and bioterrorism.

Given the Synergy document is free and as far as I can see covers most of the PAS 220 bar product recall and product information I would not recommend any member purchases PAS 220 but uses the Synergy document.

Kind regards,

Tony
