Hi there

We supply plastic packaging to the food industry. We spend a serious amount of time filling out questionnaires sent to us by customers despite being accredited with BRC/IOP. We even compiled a questionnaire covering all the information that would be required to send to cusomers but many want the information in their own format.

I remember having a discussion with our BRC accreditation body and they said the BRC were going to develop a website kind of similiar to SEDEX where our customers would be able to download a standard self audit and certificate.

This is a great idea - how can we lobby them to get this implemented?
What does anyone else think?

Hi Rosie

Why wouldn't your customers accept a copy of your BRC audit report instead of this?

Regards,

Tony

Because as an Organic Manufacturer, I have to address issue from the organic perspective, as well as BRC perspective.

Personally, i audit all my direct contact packaging suppliers annually.

Hi, Rosie.

I am curious to see what the questionnaires you are receiving look like. I am actually in need on one for our low risk packaging suppliers who do not have BRC. If you'd be willing to post I'd be grateful. Thanks for considering.

One customer once visited to audit our company and they brought a copy of BRC/IoP as questionnaires. We then showed our BRC certificate and the audit ended up as an observation visit. The auditors got more time for entertainment.

That was a fun case for us.

Hi LNdA,

It's an 8-year old thread so there may be a slight delay.

But maybe tomorrow.
