Dear All,
I need some help here: If anyone ever asks about tools used in product or service quality assurance what would you classify them to be? Help me put my thoughts in order.
Regards,
Agwanda
If the term "tool" stands for "method", "approach", or "procedure" etc. then in fact, IMO, these are many QA-tools but commonly used or globally familiar are as follows:
5S
5 Whys
5W, 2H
PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act)
Process Approach
System Approach
7 QC Tools (Cause-and-effect diagram, Check sheet, Control charts, Histogram, Pareto chart, Scatter diagram, Stratification)
SPC (Statistical process control)
FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis )
Process Capability Indices (Cp, Cpk)
DMAIC (Define, Measure, Act, Improve, Control)
Balanced ScoreCard
QFD (Quality Function Deployement)
Taguchi & Shainin's Techniques
DOE (Design of Experiment)
Six Sigma
8-D (Eight Disciplines)
Performance measurement through KPI system
