We have been auditted last week, the auditor make a comment on our production workers flow diagram; according them the worker flow shall not just shown worker in n out from production area, whereas we have to shown the area or palce that workers pass through, it is true? I have upload our diagram, appreacite if someone drop their commnet on it.

Dear Carine,

Yes it is true!

You have to sign in the routings of personnel.
In an ideal situation you also draw in the routings for raw product, finished products, waste and packing materials and use these diagrams to see if cross contamination by routings is possible.
Also think of persons who work in restricted areas.

Dear Carine,

I am sorry, but I do not have examples.
You just use your own diagram and draw the lines that personnel walk, draw the routing of your products and the routing of your waste, etc. Use a different colour for each routing.
If it gets confusing because of too many lines. Just draw only one or two kind of routings in a drawing and use another lay out diagram for the others. It is nice to draw the routings on transparant paper, so you can lay them on eachoter and compare.

If you have drawed the lines, check out contamination risks:
e.g. staff walking through raw materials handling before entering finished product area (clean room?);
crossing lines for waste and finished open products

It depends on which standard you are audited, how deep/thorough you need to go.
The risks are also depending of the kind of products you handle.

Basically our worker daliy routine work is fillig up ice (somewhere near the ice bin) into plastic bag then transfer it to the stanless steel table to seal the packaging up then transfer either to cold room (for storage) or (via conveyor) load into lorry. Or workers straight away go into cold room to do loadaing work without involved in packing duties. I have done up the flow diagram with line, appreciate if u drop ur comment on it.

Your products are ice cubes?

I looked at your graph and do have some questions:
1) what is outside the blue lines I have drawn? is it the outside of the building or from the production department?
2) where are the changing rooms, canteen, etc?
3) is the area I coloured pink the clean room area (high risk?)?
4) if 3 is yes, what about the yellow door?
5) I suppose the products come in pipelines to the ice bin and there is no other product flow?

I find it hard to get a good picture of your company.
Why don't you send this corrective action to your auditor and see what his/her feedback is?

Yes, our product is ice cubes.

Yes, is non-clean area, outsiede of the production area.

The area that equiped with locker, foot-bath and basin is changing room.

Yes, is clean room and our production area

Yellow door is emergency door , it will closed the all the time. Worker only allowed cpme in trough changing room

Yea, product come in pipelines then drop into ice bin, worker packed into plastic bag, then delivery to cold room or into lorry.

I find it hard to get a good picture of your company.
Why don't you send this corrective action to your auditor and see what his/her feedback is?
