Dear Friends,

I would like to have an opinion or suggestion about my concern. I'm working on Herbal extract as Functional Food.

This My process : Recieving -> Extraction -> Evaporation -> UHT -> Drying (Vacuum Belt Dryers) -> Milling -> Package -> Storage

I had decided UHT as OPRP and My drying process (VBD) as CCP.

Our Drying process using VBD has critical limit ( Temperature (T) and % LOD (Loss On Drying)). But, at the moment after some trial (3 times), our first trial according to Auditor is not valid because one of temperature in one belt below our critical limit. But we check our product with % LOD and it is still in our spesification and also check the microbial account still no evidance of microbial growth.

What do you think, if i change the critical limit only for % LOD?? or is there any suggestion

Any Kind of suggestion would be appreciate

Regards

Dear meta,

It is possible that many people here are not familiar with yr process.

It may be necessary for you to post/explain the risk analysis by which you selected yr CCP and validated the critical limits you mention, eg specific hazard = ?, control measure = ? reason for critical limit = ?

Kind Regards,

Do you sieve the milled material just before it is packed? That could well be a CCP...
