With the requirements for label verification, modification, having an approved label register, etc... how does the Safefood 360 system address this?

Hi Marshenko,
Thanks for dropping by. Presently it doesn’t offer a dedicated solution for labelling but this is something we might add in the future. Currently most of our users would use the existing Document Control module for this purpose. Labels can be uploaded, approved and automatically versioned each time a label is changed. Some users would scan and upload the label as an image or in a Word file; others would even upload the raw ZPL label files.
Other than what you described above can you tell me what else you would like to see in a module for labelling?
Thanks,
Philip.

Well... I am currently working on building the approved label register for the place I was just hired at.
All of our labels must be sent to the USDA for sketch approval. These applications are then sent back to us approved "as-is" or with modifications ... in either respect, once they are approved, they are assigned a USDA/FSIS label approval number, a unique identifier from the government office.
Also, in various situations, we can make minor modifications to existing labels and approve them "generically", which basically means as long as the changes meet certain criteria, we don't have to send them in for government approval, but rather approve them in-house with a link to the previously approved USDA label.
So, given that, I would expect a label system to be able to:
- Support PDF/image file uploads of labels AND USDA approved applications
- Be able to link "generic" label approvals to their original USDA approval numbers
- Be able to list and cross-reference internal Item Number, Customer, UPC code/SKU where applicable, USDA approval number, internal approval number
- ideally ... upload and edit ingredient lists and nutritional facts panel ...
