Have any of you conducted a blood drive at your company? If so, any special precautions taken to assure any risk mitigated?

Our company is thinking about doing a blood drive with the Red Cross. In reality, it is a very similar situation to administering the flu shot, a very common practice in the work place.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks.

We have done both, the flu shot and blood drives, and I just made sure that both parties used metal detectable bandages. Staffing was set up to have a certain number of people off of the floor, so when we had a person not feel well enough to return, we were covered.

I am curious now to know if there are larger implications we may have neglected...
