SQF Version 7.2 is expected in March.  We know about the addition of unannounced audits, but what else do you expect or perhaps hope the changes will be?

I don't know that I expect much more than clarification on the unannounced audits.

I am ambivalent about wanting much more. SQF seems to want letter perfect audits, meaning they look good on paper but don't seem to me to have a grasp of the bigger food manufacturing picture. (In my limited experience...)

Wonder if they will migrate away from the graded system that allows minors to exist and still pass.

Who knows.

Do you think a minor should fail the audit? I'm confused, each minor needs to be repaired in 30 days, why should that upset the audit so much as to fail?

I blame faulty memory on how SQF worked I had to re-read the nonconformities and saw that you have to fix them in 30 days.  I just remembered the grading system.

And we got a Major not a minor I forgot about criticals lol.

Setanta my smilies are working.  Maybe it's your browser I'm on Internet Exploder.  Though most time I just type the code : tardis: with no space in the front is, of course, the tardis.

Yes, I have an antiquated version of Exploder. IT doesn't want to upgrade me because what I have should be enough. <shrug>

:off_topic:  Setanta - any chance they might let you download and use Google Chrome? It's free and works better than IE in most cases.  https://www.google.c...hrome/browser/

Have not seen a glimpse of Ver.7.2 any links?

Unannounced are to begin in July 2014; look for this version to be delayed.  haven't yet posted my thoughts on but I expect SQF to put out additional guidance on this once they get a feel as how the industry will receive this action.

Chris---our IT guy keeps a very tight rein on what we can download, where we can go, etc, etc.   I can ask, but I kind of doubt that he'd be open to it.
