Everyone who uses this pretty much knows who I am but I am going incognito because whenever I upload a file it goes on to LinkedIn and I don't want people following that and seeing my name and picture...

so..

I've gone from overt to covert.

But I'm still me...

Mr. Incognito

OMG, you were using your real name on the internetz? The internetz is forever!

Probably for the best - through no fault of your own,  your last handle made me think alternately of a popular character on TV who wasn't so smart/nice and a member of a band that plays delightfully obscene music.  It just wasn't that common of a first name. You should proliferate and flood the world with Jrs. so that everyone associates that name with people who look and act like you.

Now when I look at your picture, I think cool, collected nerd who should be trusted.
I'm thinking I should change mine to Agenta_A_Majors and put up a stock photo of a lab with differently colored vials of chemical, but I'll save that for when I burn all social bridges here and must return...incognito...

Welcome to the untethered world of not worrying what the boss would say, what the future employer would say, or if past companies will sue you for defamation - it's fun and outrageous here!

:roflmao:

Honestly the first name I used here  was something else... then I was like "Well this place is pretty chill I'll keep it real"...

Yeah my name is not very common and my now ex-wife forbid me to name my son after me...

I don't know who your talking about... I've never seen that show I guess.  I didn't watch TV much for a while but now I'm stuck on Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones... pretty epic shows imho.

I had to laugh at the picture part... the actual picture of me didn't scream cool collected nerd who should be trusted?

Thank you... now I can troll my old companies until the cows come home... well really I can't because nobody has gone from each of the companies I was at to the next to the next... I think someone would figure that out lol

I have a little confession to make

Everytime I see Magenta's name pop up, I think of the Rocky Horror Picture Show !!

And if you've ever seen it live......... :sleazy:

lol I <3 rocky horror picture show.  I can sing... well let's just say I can sing Dr. Frankenfurter's main solo song just like Tim Curry... with all the inflections and antici....pation.  I even did it at Karioke once I didn't believe they had the song.

When I was a theatre major in college (for about 3 semesters) my friends did Rocky Horror show but I was pretty checked out on acting so I did physical security.

About every 6 months I have to watch Rocky Horror again and I listen to that song every few days because it's on my most played songs on my iPhone.

By live do you mean the versions where people act out the scenes while the movie plays?  That happens a lot in the United States especially around Halloween.

I love Tim Curry he's pretty awesome.  Clue was a great movie for anyone who ever enjoyed playing the game.

Oh yes when I say live I mean total audience partic....ipation!

Dressed up the lot; one of the best nights out I've ever had!! :giggle:  It was the 25th anniversary tour and I've never laughed so much in all my life! The men (dressed as women) looked spectacular, I even saw 1 large bloke in what can only be described as Kylie hotpants (just google Kylie's hotpants and it should give you the image!).

I think I might spent my afternoon listening to it via the internet!

ohhh... duh.  :lush:   Yeah... But she said that it was someone in a band on a TV show.. must have been a different character.

I forgot about that character cause I hated him so much...  I guess at the end he was better you could say... but I had already hated him too long.  For once my name is used for a character on TV and that's what we get...

Nice... I searched it on my phone.. I was worried it would be NSFW lol...

Yeah I've gone to a couple of the shows... I need to go again.  It's always a good time and the people are the right kind of crazy weird.

I took that to be two different things.  RHPS is an awesome event live.

 That's where it comes from.  When I meet someone who recognizes it like you and Setanta, I always feel like I've found someone awesome :) I  thought if the maid-alien married the nerd, the moniker resulting was was elegant; a preferred pen name to the uncouth fiction short stories I wrote for 'zines in high school and college.  I shudder to think what dregs I've left behind with it (ed note: A google search revealed Majors is so old her posts from *newsgroups* show up), but I get to pick and choose which history I want.  My past is multiple choice :) To reference yet another pop tv show, "Who's really signing that contract, Don?"

nom de plume = da bomb.

Also, I was thinking of that not very nice guy from the walking dead.   Though the wild and uneven character development meant he ended up pretty rockin' at the end, and his zombie scene was by far the most touching.  Way better than Sophie's.

ohhhh... maybe it was.  My bad.  I may not have had enough coffee today.

It was that.  The offensive band has a different guy with that  name, they're called G G Allin (Do NOT google at work - they need attention and will go to any lengths to get it!)

I think any Google search will show Setanta is a sports channel/webpage or the boyhood name of name of the Irish mythological figure Cúchulainn, meaning 'root of valor'

Like Indiana Jones, Setanta was our dog's name. He was a huge Belgian Shepherd/Moose mix and was a sweetheart.
