I don't think you should judge any city by its bus depot. YMMV
But bus depots are where you find drugs, which is super important when you're traveling in a new city! It's like how you can tell how civilized a society is by the way they treat their poorest citizens. Or how you make sure you see how someone treats the waitress before you marry them. Srsly, bus depots are the reason I'll NEVER again set foot in Amarillo TX. NEVER. My god.
I went to the mall of America and took a bike tour along the river too, but those weren't as ...educational ...as the bus station.
Yes, it's "eumid" (Balamerese for humid) in Baltimore in the summer. I grew up in Baltimore, so I'm familiar with the summer stickiness there.
It's less so here on the Eastern Shore and in the mountains.
Where in Charm City did you live?
Martha
Across the street from the Raven's stadium ... in an old warehouse we called "Nowherehaus". The fire inspector used to kick us out every now and again, but it was okay. Close to the train tracks, which was how many of us traveled. Natty Bo I miss, but I did not care for the early wake up that came with game days.
