What would be some examples of records that we would have to complete for a flexible packaging?

First :welcome: to IFSQN! :doctor:

Now to start answering your question:

Any control points or critical control points identified in your process

Pest control activities

Cleaning sheets / Master Cleaning Schedule

Trailer inspections (in the event this isn't a control point)

Those types of things are the easy answers.

To add off the top of my head:

  • Glass/Hard Plastic/Ceramic Audit
  • GMP Audit
  • Master Maintenance Schedule for PM/CM and work orders
  • Calibration Records
  • Your SDS list (Inventory of chemicals)
  • Any sort of microbiological results you may have done on potable water and/or air
  • Training Records

Here is a really good rule of thumb:

If you have someone fill out documentation.  Keep it.  File it away.  That way if anyone asks for it you have it.

Any quality checks or tests.

What materials were used (traceability).

Machine conditions that may affect food safety (SQF Level 2) or quality (SQF Level 3).

Any cleaning or sanitation activities.

Any maintenance activities that may affect food safety or quality.

Management review meetings.

...the list goes on (depends on what standard you are using).

:welcome:

Perhaps a silly question, but are you making the packaging or buying it.
