Do understand.  I like to garden but trying to garden in the desert is like trying to garden on Mars.

Snookie, I like to garden too, so living in the desert is definitely off my list.

After living in apartments for years, and only being able to container garden, having a house and yard is heavenly.  I planted a Peace Rose right after moving here, and even with the Japanese Beetle invasion, I loved having a rose bloom.

That beautiful Martha!!!

I am just getting into gardening myself. I started mostly with container gardening because, let's face it, I live in Ohio. For Valentines Day this year, my man got me a "pop-up" green house! I am so excited to get it set up and start using it. We tried a veggie garden last year, I need to get better about harvesting! I was out there one day all excited because my broccoli was looking great, next day I went out and it was a bunch of little yellow flowers!  :oops2:

The great thing about gardening is that you get better the more that you do it.  It's a learning experience.  I love how the plants change all the time, sometimes in a matter of hours.  It's a thing of wonder to me.

I have deer walking through my back yard all the time, so a veggie garden is out of the question.  But there are so many farms and produce stands that I don't need it.  I'm focusing on flowers.

I grew up gardening because both my parents love to garden.  There was a Peace Rose bush in my back yard when I was a child that was huge.  It was beautiful, which I why I planted one here.

I just love to dig in the dirt.
