Good morning:

Advice/ Guidance is required on the following:

Our company is a Glass manufacturing facility (bottles and jars), under the requirements for FSSC 22000, it is stated we should have a Glass, brittle plastic program.

For brittle plastics it is easier however what is the best way to work with fullfilling the glass requirement aspect of this, when our product is glass, and it is excepted that at times we will have breakages etc.

Your feedback and guidance is greatly appreciated.

Amrika

Hi Amrika,

You will have two sets of controls;

Non product glass/brittle plastic control

Product glass control where for example there are line stoppage and clearance procedures when there is a breakage, there might be inspection scanners for chipped necks etc and inversion or rinsing.

Regards,

Tony
