Billy: Both have metal and
x-ray
Nives: Please ask Roger to focus his presentation
LAKSHMI: Hello From England
heather: Hi. presentation is out of focus.
Laura: The presentation is blurry
dj: Hi I'm not sure if it is my connection but the presentation looks blurry to me right about now
Missy: I seem to have lost audio. Is there an error in the presentation or is it something on my end?
alyssa: Billy, what type of facility or products do you run that you have both? Very nice.
Carme: the presentation still blurry
Roberta: Hi from Barbados
Arquelio: Hello
Kirsten: What a nice way to explain this!
chris: I agree
Dylena Kent: Hello, our group come not connect
Simon Timperley: If any member cannot view youtube you will not be able to view the webinar
Khian: hello
Arquelio: Try Browser Compatibilty or use Chrome
Carme: in china, several times I hear the statement, that no ferreus is not necessary as it is the same as the SS. Can you comment on why this statement is not correct_
Carme: also, if the least of the sensitivity is the center of the area, can you commenton why many standards require to challenge the
metal detector in different places of the belt and product? (right, middle, left...)
Rupali: What is the best option for a chicken processing plant?
Diane Burgess Ipsen: How do we detect rust?
Reda: hi
Lorilee: Good morning from Regina, SK, Canada
Matthew: Chrome didn't work for me. I switched to Internet Explorer and it works.
Aliyu: Good Afternoon From Abuja, Nigeria
Carme: as an auditor, I find many facilities that as calibration of the
metal detector they just pass the test pieces and record in a certificate if successful or not. However, I know this is not acceptable as a calibration, only a verification. Can you let briefly explain the calibration process?
Simon Timperley: Good Matthew, sometimes its trial and error. due to browser settings for cookies, corrupt temp files etc.
Mel: hi from Philippines.....10:30pm here.
heather: Hi carme it is better that both metals should be tested because SS and ferrous have different compositions unless the plant uses only SS. As part of FS risks assessment, we need to consider every possible parts. As from previous experience.
Elizabeth: it is very blurry
Lindsay: Would X-Rays successfully detect ceramic packaging? I.e. small party food products
Ahmed Waqar: No video
Rigo: Hi. please focus presentation
Simon Timperley: If any member cannot view youtube you will not be able to view the webinar
Martin: Is it possible to detect glass fragments in glass bottle of juice by
x-ray?
Simon Timperley: Rigo focus is related to your internt connection speed
Kaveh: I have no voices, why?
David: David from ", east London.
Imran jamal: Hi Simon
Simon Timperley: Hi Imra
Emma Fonseca: Hi
Ahmed Waqar: Hi
Simon Timperley: Imran :-)
Ana Chaves: Hi from Portugal
vinod: hi sir
Imran jamal: It's very blurr slide
Janice Mabey: hi all!
Dave: what is the smallest foot print anyone is using for
X-Ray?
Imran jamal: Is this
xray can detect any pest or flies?
vinod: can
Xray detech hair
Kaveh: No, metal detection can find metals and some plastic piecs, in theie range.
vinod: plactic pieces can detected by
xray
Wayne: Depends on the plastic and the density of the product around the plastic
Lindsay: 1.5mm
Michele McLeskey: presentation is fuzzy
Wayne: What is the break point for
xray, colse to the UHMW at 1.15 or PVC at 1.7?
Kaveh: I saw one time that
metal detection couldn't find a big pieces of metal, even we calibrated it. I don't know what happened in that time. everything was routine.?
Imran jamal: Can we use the
xray for bulk packaging ? Example 10 kg box of baguette frozen products? ?
Narongchai: can we use to detect "soft bone"?
Billy: pkg/end of line
Reda: Final product
Sérgio: One after deepfrozen and another in packaging
Ingo: Hi Simon I ould only select one.
Matthew: Foreign material inspection systems are located in multiple areas for us and not all types of processing areas that we have are mentioned in the list.
alyssa: Can you also mask by particulate size? e.g. glass shard piece in salsa with mostly uniform particulate sizes?
alyssa: > $
Ingo: inspection vs sieving
Sujit: hi
Yehia: Hi
crystal : hi everyone
Kaveh: Hi
Ehab: Martin ; yes it could be I used to many years ago ;the challanage is in the false rejection due to the defects of the glass bottle it self ,as far you have a high quality of glass bottles as far the false rejection is less, also the dimensions and alignment of the glass fragment is important
Kirsten: Can you speak to placement of test wands? I have a solid product (chocolate) that is going through a
metal detector. Not practical to imbed test wand in product - are wands placed over/under/beside product and adequate test since there should be no product effect?
Martin: Ehab, Thanks.
Analiesel: We only use metal detectors in our plant, but the rejects that we inspect contains small rocks. How are those detected by the
metal detector?
Lindsay: Kirsten - the test want would be placed on top as it would be closest to the center of the aperture of the
Metal Detector (weakest point)
Bisi: Thanks
Kirsten: that was really an excellent presentation - much appreciated!
Ehab: What does the threshold means and what is the number of beers in the x ray
Aliyu: thnak you very much Simon and robert
Bisi: Very good presentation
steve: good presentation, very knowledgeable and helpful
Ian John: very informative presentation
Imran jamal: Are these xrays can adjust online and connect with server and send us pop up email when detect any hazard?
Aurora Fernández: Thank you for this practical presentation
Sabina: good presentation. very informative
Khian: I work in a sausage processing plant and the
metal detector detects salt which is one of our batching ingredient. this gives false alarm. Any recommendatons
slavica: Excellent Robert and Simon. Thanks!
Wayne: Khian, try introducing the salt as you mix, not all at one time. I have a similar problem with spinach
Arquelio: This has been the most simple and coversome presentation.
Patricia: Whats the best detection method to detect metal during Ham processing?
Ronald Wiseman: hello everyone
CHANDRA PRAKASH : hello everyone
Ana Chaves: About false rejections on X-rays detections, ... what are the sources about it?
Arquelio: OSHA must have a trained technician on site to handle repairs and Have a Radiological Safety Program
Teresa: very good Simon and Robert, thank you. Have a nice weekend
Ehab: Thx a lot ; one of the best webinars
Kaveh: excelent webinar. thank you and have a great time.
alyssa: Very concise presentation and very clear pronunciation. Thank you Robert!
Andre Vieira: Can Robert comment on detecting voids in product with
X-ray.. Like hollow heart disease in potatoes or large low density contaminants that are in product that show up as low density areas in the product ( large plastic pieces in chocolate)
Carlito: Hi Carlito from The Philippines
Khian: Point taken Wayne
Michelle : Good evening
Kirsten: Thank you so much - Robert you rock!
Aliyu: Once again, Thank you very much, Simon and Robert
Natalia : Thank you, have a nice weekend. Really happy participate in seminar.
Laura: What is the difference between Threshold and Sensitivity
Sérgio: Thank you. Excelente webinar.
CHANDRA PRAKASH : I manufacture PET Preform for Water bottles. How
xray would help me to find
metal detection.
Jorge: Thank you. Very good informtion
Imran jamal: Thanks a lot Simon, you are doing extra ordinary activity to establish the great food safety culture
Michelle : If your metal contaminant is way bigger than your current test pieces, it creates a distortion in the magnetic field signal. How will you ensure that the contaminant is ejected?
Odette: Very informative presentation
heather: Thank you so much. Very informative presentation and discussion.
Imran jamal: Thanks Robert and Simon.great job...
Teresa: thank you again
TRUMP: Grazie
Luz: An excellent presentation, thank you very much Robert and Simon.
