Carme: as an auditor, I find many facilities that as calibration of the
metal detector they just pass the test pieces and record in a certificate if successful or not. However, I know this is not acceptable as a calibration, only a verification. Can you let briefly explain the calibration process?

Ehab: Martin ; yes it could be I used to many years ago ;the challanage is in the false rejection due to the defects of the glass bottle it self ,as far you have a high quality of glass bottles as far the false rejection is less, also the dimensions and alignment of the glass fragment is important
Kirsten: Can you speak to placement of test wands? I have a solid product (chocolate) that is going through a
metal detector. Not practical to imbed test wand in product - are wands placed over/under/beside product and adequate test since there should be no product effect?
