Hello all,

We pack and sell seeds and kernel product and we have a lot of discussion with customers that, for example, our max limits of heavy metals are wrong. why the customer thinks this because its not clear to what catagory food stuff our product belongs to. some of our product are cereals, some are oilseed etc.

http://eur-lex.europ...ELEX:32006R1881, in this EU legislation are the foodstuff categories.

So my question is; is there an official database where I can see to what category our product belongs to?

Hi Dongilles,

I don't quite get the linkage between cereals and seeds/kernels.

Kind Regards,

Some of our seeds/kernels are categorised as cereals, like wheat. but products like quinoa is a seed, eventhough a lot of our customers use it to make flour its actually not a cereal.
