Hi every on,

Merry christmas to all ifsqn team.

I am Sunil mishra from India, actually we use tomato paste in our product, we received it from supplier in aseptic packing in 228 kgs drum. We store it in outsourced cold storage for quality purpose, we do not expose or open our product in cold storage.

Is this storage(only for quality) will come in category of outsourced processing or not?

Once again merry christmas to all ifsqn team.

Thanking you

Sunil Mishra

Probably yes, anything out of the organization control ( managed by the third party ) can be considered as the outsourced process. In your case,  I presume that cold storage is managed by another party.

Outside storage, not process, under contractor.

Is this question coming from a specific auditing scheme/standard or customer audit?

Hello,

if FIRST arrives to your facility, and THEN you transport it to the cold storage, and then RETURNS to your facility, then, YES, it is outsourced, since you have outsourced the refrigeration step.

If you receive DIRECTLY the tomato paste refrigerated, then it is another raw material.

Check out because IFS has just changed this management and audit scope definition....

Hope this helps!

Leila
