There is a free webinar on Validation of Cleaning Programs this Friday here on IFSQN, maybe the presenter will have information for you :)
We validate ours weekly. We have a "checklist" for each person on our sanitation crew that has them sign off on each step of the cleaning process and then the Supervisor has to verify that the work has been done correctly, then he signs off on it.
After all has been done, a designated member of our food safety team collects ATP and other swab samples to verify everything has been cleaned and sanitized.
It may seem like a lot of work, but in the end if it makes our plant safer and the auditors happy, it is worth it.

Dear Charles C.,
Our cleaning process is designed for machine, equipment, building . And, in validation framework, the method, the frequency, tool for cleaning is verified. Finally, the result of microbio testing determine whether cleaning framework is proper or not.
And, i am wondering how often i have to validate cleaning process

Dear Josh,
But before you set up framework for cleaning process, you have to prove that your frame work, which inclusive of method, frequency, tool, is proper . And then, you build up Procedure for surface cleaning in which sanitation crew, QC, Supervisor responsibilities are assigned. Finally, Work Instruction is documented to guide how to clean the facilities.
