Hi Rosie,
This is a common question that I come across a lot.
ISO 9001:2015 has been designed to be flexible so that it can be applied more easily to all organizational types and industries. It follows basic ISO structure of all management systems and standards.
ISO 9001:2015 holds seven quality management principles:
-
Customer Focus
-
Leadership
-
Engagement of People
-
Process Approach
-
Continuous Improvement
-
Evident-based Decision Making
-
Supplier Relationship Management
ISO 22000 is part of the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) family and addresses food safety management.
The standards are made up of these key parts:
-
System management
-
Interactive communication
-
HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) principles
-
Prerequisite programs
ISO 22000 addresses aspects of food safety concerns only, however, it goes beyond HACCP; ISO 22000 is a holistic food safety management system.
Please view the other forum here. I believe your question will be answered.
Hope this helped!
ISO’s family of standards on quality management and quality management systems, developed by ISO/TC 176, includes:
ISO 9001:2015, Quality management systems – Requirements
ISO 9000:2015, Quality management systems – Fundamentals and vocabulary

Do you have a copy of the ISO 22000:2005 standard?
Annex A in the standard is a comparison of the clauses of ISO22000 and ISO9001.
