In our pre-audit assessment, external auditor reports that our "selection and assessment of control measures not based on the control measures"

Please explain what is it means??

-process carried out in our factory is processing spices

-as control measures I mean follow proper cleaning practices & good hygiene

 practices among the handlers to prevent contact with dust hazard etc

  

-the external auditor exactly stated as "selection and assessment of control measures not based on the control measures",

after reviewing our FSMS manual.

As you quote, the comment is IMO unfortunately meaningless.

 

There should have been an auditorial reference to -

(a) a specific clause in the FS Standard

(b) a specific reference to the observation(s) prompting the comment/NC.

 

Please provide some context for above.

As you have mentioned the comment of auditor is related to the clause of "Selection and assessment of control measures" in our FSMS manual.

Reference is our appendix HACCP Plan.
