I think given the mood of Europe these days regarding the minimization of plastics at retail; it's only a matter of time until it will be required.

 

As an added bonus, you could centre an advertising campaign around this move????!!!!

YES!

 

And what is really cool is the new package (or non packaging) that Carlsberg Beer is doing. They completely eliminated the plastic rings and instead GLUE the cans together and have a whole advertising blitz around SNAPing them off of each other to enjoy.

 

I have a client to the glue idea and leaving the bio ring sets alone as the concern came up on a what happens if suggestion that if the bio rings get wet while in transit will everything fall apart basis.
